This is very nice but you have any article to show how to create new table and insert & update query fire on that table using creating new magento module.

Hey i found the solution for duplication .Change the code “my_custom=”Test”" to “name=right.example”. inthe bellow code.

right (or) left..depending on the position you want.

//this will add your block in the right column

To create custom module base set i’ve used moduleCreator extension. It does already everything for you in terms of file creation and folder structure.
